
Who Am I?
My name is Spencer and I currently am a junior in high school. I love science, especially materials science, food, tennis, travel, and cooking. I have always been an avid researcher and have learned so much from the videos I have seen. However, I noticed a lack of videos that started at the most fundamental place - ingredients and carried through to how specific pots or utensils or heat sources or cultures all influence the final dish. So that is my goal in these videos. I will start with talking about heat sources, move onto different types of pots and pans, and look at the tools we have to use.
Where Are We Going?
In each episode we will talk about the materials making up the items we are using and why understanding their characteristics makes a difference in our recipes. Once we have our fundamentals of equipment down, we will move on to our raw ingredients and examine flavor profiles so we can understand how to pair things that work well together. Finally, we will use this knowledge and travel the globe to create some amazing recipes together.
